Dental Technician — Digital Dentistry & Design

We're not hiring for a back-room lab job. We're looking for someone who wants to sit chairside with doctors, design smiles digitally, and watch their work walk out the door on a real patient the same day.

At Smile House, the technician isn't hidden behind a mill in a separate building — they're part of the treatment team. If you're ambitious, technically sharp, and want a career built around digital dentistry rather than a decade of designing crowns for a large outside lab, this role is designed for you.

The Opportunity

Doctor + Technician + Digital Dentistry + Patient + Design — working together, in the same room, in real time.

You'll be embedded in a modern, technology-forward practice where your design decisions shape real patient outcomes, not just production quotas. This is a chance to help build the digital lab of the future from the inside, with real room to grow into a bigger role as the practice's digital capabilities expand.

What You'll Do

  • Design and mill restorations using a modern chairside CAD/CAM workflow
  • Build digital smile designs and wax-ups that doctors and patients can review together
  • Apply your understanding of occlusion and anatomy to functional, natural-looking results
  • Bring a genuine eye for esthetics to every case
  • Use 3D printing as a core part of the fabrication process
  • Work directly with doctors chairside — not just handed a prescription, but part of the conversation
  • Grow into new responsibilities as the digital workflow and the practice expand

Must Have

  • Digital background — hands-on experience with a digital scan/design/mill workflow
  • Dental background — working knowledge of occlusion, anatomy, and restorative fabrication
  • Digital smile design / wax-up experience
  • An excellent, trained eye for esthetics
  • Hands-on 3D printing experience
  • Willingness and desire to work chairside with doctors
  • Ambition — you're looking to grow, not just clock in

Nice to Have

  • Analog experience — traditional waxing, analog articulator work
  • Ceramics and porcelain work
  • Acrylic experience
  • Implant restorations
  • Knowledge of Roland mill machines
  • Photography and shade matching
  • Comfort communicating directly with patients
