Our dental lab in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a full-time ceramist to join our growing company. A positive attitude and enthusiasm for team work is required. We offer benefits and a friendly “Whatever it Takes” atmosphere!

Objective

• To fabricate porcelain crowns by layering pfm, zirconia and emax crowns as well as staining full contour zirconia and emax crowns.
• To always project a professional and courteous image for DCS.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Scheduling

• Reads all prescriptions and ensures each work ticket matches the prescription for each case
• Ensures quality is up to DCS standard when received & prescription has been followed by previous technician(s)
• Follows the schedule on each work ticket and notifies scheduling coordinator if the schedule cannot be met
• Checks all bites and ensures quality assurance of finished work before distributing to quality control
• Discusses all problems with the manager or appropriate team member at the time of discovery

Technical

• Efficiently completes assigned ceramic work on a daily basis including but not limited to contouring, building porcelain, staining, glazing, and polishing both layered and full contour restorations
• Reads and follows doctors prescriptions and individual account specifications noted on each work ticket
• Scans all completed work and signs off on work tickets for the tasks completed daily
• Collaborates with CAD/CAM and waxing departments on designs of difficult and/or large cases
• Handles all dental materials in accordance with OSHA and DCS Lab guidelines
