Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (plus occasional OT depending on workload)

Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Trainee
- *Demonstrates understanding of dental terms, basic dental anatomy, and theory of occlusion and function.
- *Reads and interprets dental prosthetic prescriptions and preferences.
- *Accurately identifies landmarks on casts and fabricates bite blocks and custom trays.
- *Pours impressions of patient’s mouth.
- *Trims bite and mounts models in proper occlusion on an articulator.
- *Mixes and processes acrylic powder and monomer; hand-packs dentures.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Level I
- *Successfully performs all responsibilities of lower levels.
- *Contours wire clasps for proper retention and aesthetics.
- *Grinds and polishes acrylic to create proper support and aesthetics.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Level II
- *Successfully performs all responsibilities of lower levels.
- *Demonstrates a practical understanding of occlusion and function.
- *Properly sets dentures according to an occlusal scheme, as identified by the Team Leader.
- *Sets teeth in partially edentulous arch.
- *Performs basic tissue contouring.
- *Proficient in at least one specialty.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Level III
- *Successfully performs all responsibilities of lower levels.
- *Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of occlusion and function of the mouth.
- *Able to explain which occlusal scheme applies to the case and independently sets dentures according to the correct scheme.
- *Sets teeth in edentulous arch for aesthetics and function.
- *Demonstrates comprehensive understanding/ability to contour wax/acrylic to look like natural dentition.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Level IV
- *Successfully completes all responsibilities of lower levels.
- *Proficient in all specialties.
- *Coordinates the workflow of the department to ensure the timely processing of cases.
- *Receives incoming notifications from department team members who will be absent.
- *Serves as subject matter expert and trains department team members.
- *Provides internal and external technical support to customers and coworkers.
- Other duties, as assigned.

SPECIALTIES
- Teeth Setting: *Sets teeth in fully edentulous arches.
- Fixed Dentures: *Creates fixed/implant dentures, including surgical plan, telephone customer support, and final product delivery.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
- Lathe, model trimmer, rotary hand piece, Bunsen burner, razor knife, boil out tank, stone vibrator, hot iron, light cure machine, pressure pot, loupes, computer tablet.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational coursework in dental lab technology.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed in a temperature controlled environment. Continuous exposure to dust and noise. Occasional skin exposure to acrylics and to acrylic odor.
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Continuously use arms, wrists, and hands to grasp/squeeze tools and frequently use foot to operate a foot control.
- Continuously perform sedentary work at a workstation.
- Occasionally stand and intermittently walk across level surfaces.
- Frequently lift up to 10 pounds; intermittently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally bend, twist, and walk on level surfaces.
