REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience providing direct customer service.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience working as a dental technician specializing in removables.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite

- Certified Dental Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES
- *Provides inspirational leadership for the Removables team, fostering a culture that supports O’Brien’s core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, Customer Experience, and Progression. Trains, develops, and mentors team members, ensuring a high level of technical proficiency and commitment to excellence.
- *Ensures adequate staffing levels, completes performance evaluations, and addresses personnel issues with support from the Senior Team Leader and Human Resources.
- *Handles a production caseload, including advanced and complex cases. Sets and processes traditional dentures, including all-on-X. Designs partial frameworks and fabricates flexible partials. Provides coverage and support as needed during periods of high volume and staff shortages.
- *Provides telephone and off-site support to doctors and dental practices, including case planning and trouble shooting. Collaborates internally with technical advisors and other team leaders to resolve product and customer experience problems. Provides customer analysis and feedback to the Director of Customer Experience. Represents the company at various meetings such as study clubs and workshops.
- *Oversees the end-to-end operational processes, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to industry standards. Implements tactical plans to optimize workflow, reduce turnaround times, and enhance overall productivity.
- *Develops and implements a forward-thinking strategy for the Removables Department, aligning with overall organizational goals. Leads the division in identifying growth opportunities, market trends, and innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge. Stays apprised of advancements in materials and fabrication techniques to ensure the department remains at the forefront of the industry.
- *Ensures allocation of resources to meet organizational goals. Implements cost-effective measures without compromising on quality and service delivery.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
Lathe, model trimmer, rotary hand piece, Bunsen burner, razor knife, boil out tank, stone vibrator, hot iron, light cure machine, pressure pot, loupes, computer, computer tablet, scanner, and standard office equipment such as phones, printers, copiers, and fax machines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed in a temperature controlled environment. Continuous exposure to dust and noise. Occasional skin exposure to acrylics and to acrylic odor.
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Continuously use arms, wrists, and hands to grasp/squeeze tools and frequently use foot to operate a foot control.
- Continuously perform sedentary work at a workstation.
- Occasionally stand and intermittently walk across level surfaces.
- Frequently lift up to 10 pounds; intermittently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally bend, twist, and walk on level surfaces.
