Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Lab Operations Manager with a strong focus on process development and driving controlled growth. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our dental laboratory while actively identifying and implementing new production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dental laboratory operations with a focus on process development and optimization.

- Strong customer communication skills to set the tone for the operational team. 

- Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

- Knowledge of dental prosthetics manufacturing processes and materials preferred.

- Experience with custom computer programming preferred

Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:

   - Lead and supervise a team of dental technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

   - Oversee daily operations including product manufacturing, scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.

   - Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

 

  1. Process Development:

   - Research, design, and implement new production processes to optimize workflow, reduce turnaround times, and enhance quality standards.

   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technicians, machine engineers, and corporate management to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.

   - Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, equipment, and materials to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement.

 

  1. Quality Assurance:

   - Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of all products manufactured within the lab.

   - Monitor production output and perform regular quality checks to identify and address any deviations from standards.

   - Work closely with quality assurance teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.

 

  1. Continuous Improvement:

   - Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among team members.

   - Implement performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and measure the effectiveness of process improvements.

   - Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to identify opportunities for further optimization.
